About the Project

Dial-A-Park is a dialogue between NYC Parks and the people who use them. We asked New Yorkers to overcome phone phobia, dial up a park, and leave an honest voicemail telling them what they love, what they hate, and what they wish were different.

The aim of this project is to start a conversation, or ideally many conversations, about individual and community needs, how public spaces are, or are not, serving them today, and what a better future for our parks could look like.
